5 Types of Ebola Viruses
First of all, Ebola virus is similar to RNA virus that belongs to a Filovirus group. When we see Ebola virus with microscopes, they have long, thin threaded shape like earthworms. There are five types of virus that have been found so far. They are Bundibugyo virus (BDBV), Sudan virus (SUDV), Reston Ebolavirus (RESTV), Taï Forest virus (TAFV) and one simply called Ebola virus (EBOV, formerly Zaire Ebola virus). They can be caused by infection with a virus of the family Filoviridae, genus Ebola virus. Even though they have 5 different types of Ebola virus, they also have similar infections. Simply, as mentioned, it could kill 90% of their victims, which means Ebola virus puts lots of pain and effects to them.
